SOCOTEC is partnering with Move to BIM to develop automated verifications in the BIM model and thereby provide an optimized building control.
BIM (business information modelling) has revolutionized work methods involving close cooperation between construction experts and operators.
SOCOTEC and Move to BIM, specialized in the development of standalone BIM solutions for software publishers, are pooling their expertise with a view to optimizing digital models and better controlling each phase of a building’s life cycle.
N°1 in the French Construction inspection market, SOCOTEC is providing its knowledge and know-how to develop automated queries with the Checker software developed by the Lyon-based start-up Move to BIM
“Checking and sharing information directly in the model will ease collaboration between the technical inspector, the client and the project management teams, through a shared understanding of the project. Automated regulatory queries will ensure better risk anticipation and management by systematically detecting nonconformities” explains Franck Pettex-Sorgue, Executive Vice-President of SOCOTEC’s Construction & Real Estate France BU.
Move to BIM will present the solution at the BIM WORLD trade show in Munich on 28 and 29 November next, on stands 17 and 18.
