Project details The Louvre museum has set up a CSR strategy for more than 10 years. The museum wants to reinforce its commitment to reduce the impact of its activities on the environment. The goal is to achieve to reduce its energy consumption by 10% over the next five years. To do so, the museum has chosen to focus on the energy management and to obtain a certification for its approach. To enter into the certification process, the museum has chosen SOCOTEC Certification International, in order to fully integrate this management into its organization and operations, via the ISO 50001 quality standards. The certification ISO 50001 is the certification dedicated to energy performance and energy consumption reduction by setting means through a continuous process. The Louvre museum’s energy management system is based on improving consumption of lighting, heating, and air conditioning.
